Welcome to the official website of Prince Edward Island College of Physiotherapy (PEICPT, the College). The site is intended for the College members and potential members, and the general public.
Every physiotherapist who wants to get a licence to practice physiotherapy in the province of Prince Edward Island must be registered with the College. The regular licence is renewed annually, provided that the registered physiotherapist meets mandatory requirements and follows the practice standards and guidelines. Physiotherapists who are visiting PEI can get temporary licences if they meet the requirements.

If you are not satisfied with the care provided by a physiotherapist in PEI, you can reach out to the College for help on how to proceed, or you can bring forward a formal complaint.

Effective May 1, 2026, the PEI College of Physiotherapy ended its Alternate Plan licensure process. Applicants for licensure must now successfully complete the Canadian Physiotherapy Examination (CPTE) administered by CAPR. - Updated Information on Diagnostic Imaging Access and X-Ray Ordering
